El Desayuno=breakfast
This morning, after a long sleepless night, I found great delight in my simple breakfast of sheep's milk ricotta from the nearby mountains, honey, a pear and a handful of nuts. The ricotta was a supermarket find that I practically giggled over. It took me forever to figure out which of the containers was filled with yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, etc using Google translate on my iPhone. I finally found a package with a cute ewe staring back at me marked "cuajada." Could this be the one? Cuajada=curds, so I took it home and voila--ricotta, gorgeously packaged in real glazed terracotta cups with a tiny packet of honey stuck to the top of the peel-off lid. By the way, honey=miel.
